DUI is processed and your license is officially suspended through
the BMV, you can apply for a New Jersey State Identification Card. It'll

account that there are reinstatement fees to get your license

test or to actually take it?
By refusing
to take the test, you are in the position to lose your license
for 12 months instead of just 6 months, plus, even if your DUI
case is dropped, the refusal for the test might not be, so it's
definitely a risk. By taking the test, you have provided more
evidence to the court system to use against you during your case,
but also will get your license back 6 months sooner.
I
am 20 years old and was arrested for a DUI even though I
only had a .06 on my BAC test, can I fight that since I wasn't
at .08?
First of all,
the .08 BAC amount is only there as the maximum number allowed
by the law. You can be arrested for a DUI with a lower number
if the officer believes that you were in fact too impaired too
safely operate the motor vehicle. However, since the drinking
age in New Jersey is 21, if you were picked up with ANY amount of alcohol
in your system being under-age, you will be charged.
